Because sitting up helps us see, hear, pay attention, and be ready to learn.
Why don’t we all call out when we know an answer or want to say something?
So everyone has a chance to think.

Because we may miss important teaching or directions and interrupt learning.

Calmly say, “Stop,” move away, ignore a minor comment, or use an appropriate problem-solving strategy. If they keep doing it, find an adult.

Someone could be hurt, someone is unsafe, serious bullying/threatening behavior is happening, something dangerous is happening, or the problem cannot be safely solved by students.
