People sent by God to guide the people in God's ways, Told the people to stop and to think about what they were doing. They called people to be faithful to God Just like God is faithful to us.

Had the Holy spirit upon him, and was anointed by Elijah.

After Ahab's death, Ahab and Jezebel's Two sons, Tried to take over and turn them back to believing in the one true God. But, Because Jezebel had so much power they were not very successful.

A general That Killed most of Jezebel's Family. Freed the northern Kingdom of Idolatry by destroying The temples where False Gods were built.
What do we learn From prophets
Their words and actions show that God is loving and faithful to his people, even when they are not faithful to him.
Problems with Israel
Some Israelites were wealthy, Most Israelites lived a hard life, and the government did little or nothing to make life easier.
Assyria
A Mesopotamian Kingdom that Attacked Israel and captured many as slaves, took over their land, And deported them to Other places.

Didn't Want his people to go to temples in Judah (Probably jealous) so he led his people into idolatry by building temples with a golden bull.((Obviously Jealous) Like C'mon Man!)
Jehoash
A King that began peace and prosperity for Israel.
Jeroboam II
Under his rule, Israel regained lost land in the north and established peace with the southern kingdom of Judah.

A gift From God that Enables us to believe in Him.
The Religious Problems In Israel
The Real meaning the covenant was forgotten. Many people no longer fulfilled their promises to God. The faith of the Israelite people was almost completely lost.
