The Battle of the Plains of Abraham is considered the most important battle in Canadian history. What happened during the battle? Why was the outcome so significant?
James Wolfe, General of the British army decided to fight for Quebec. The British invaded Quebec under the cover of night and forced the French to an open plain. General Montcalm, leader of the French Army, had two options - wait for help or meet the British and fight. Did he make the wrong choice? After the fall of Quebec, New France tanked huge.

She overheard American soldiers talking about invading Upper Canada. She then ran 32 km on her own to tell British soldiers that the invasion was coming.

Why was slavery so popular in the Southern United States?
Southern states produced mainly tobacco and cotton, which required large numbers of workers. The capture, sale, and use of slaves from Africa allowed these crops to be profitable but at a great human cost. Upper Canada began limiting the growth of slavery in 1793.

Montgomery's Tavern. The rebels used heavy wool overcoats were used as armour. It didn't go very well. Mackenzie escaped!
