How could this comma splice sentence be corrected?
New York City gets most of its water from the Ashokan reservoir, the Ashokan is located in the Catskill mountains.
The comma splice can be fixed in three ways:
1) With a semicolon between “reservoir” and “the”
2) By starting a new sentence at the second “The Ashokan”
3) By taking out the second “The Ashokan reservoir” and replacing it with “which”:
New York City gets most of its water from the Ashokan reservoir, which is located in the Catskill mountains.
