What is a declarative sentence?
A declarative sentence provides facts or evidence. It is used to inform or persuade.
What is a simple sentence?
A simple sentence is an independent clause that makes sense on its own. (It has a subject and a predicate.)
What is a personal pronoun?
A personal pronoun is a pronoun that replaces a specific noun (person, place or thing).
What is an interrogative sentence?
AN interrogative sentence asks a direct question and ends with a question mark.
What is a compound sentence?
A compound sentence is when two independent clauses (simple sentences) as joined with a coordinating conjunction.
What is a possessive pronoun?
A possessive pronoun is a pronoun that replaces a possessive adjective and noun. It shows ownership.
What is a exclamatory sentence?
An exclamatory sentence expresses strong emotion or surprise. It ends with an exclamation mark.
What is a complex sentence?
A complex sentence is a dependent and independent clause joined together using a subordinating conjunction.
What is a reflexive pronoun?
A reflexive pronoun a pronoun that replaces the object of a sentence when the subject and object is the same.
What is imperative sentence?
An imperative sentence gives a command, warning or instruction. The subject is often left out (implied).
