Hudson Helps Resource Center
This is often referred to as DACA.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
This program promotes academic excellence in students who are academically gifted, intellectually curious, and highly motivated.
Honors Program
This is where you can find the famous Fessler Fried Chicken Sandwich.
Libby's Kitchen
A list of full-time degree students who complete all Academic Foundations and ESL courses with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and no grades of F in the current semester.
Dean's List
Part of Hudson Helps, this is a one-stop off-ramp out of poverty by supporting families in meeting their basic needs
Single Stop
An application DACAmented and undocumented students can complete to receive state financial aid.
New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application
The program where students have the advantage of meeting regularly with academic counselors, whose caseloads are 80% less than those of other advisors, and who keep students on track by following academic progress and communicating with faculty regularly.
Hudson Scholars
Provides graduates and former students with information that will help them reconnect with former classmates and keep them connected to the College community.
Alumni Services
Failure to maintain the minimum level of academic progress.
Academic Dismissal
Part of Hudson Helps, this is a free service for all HCCC students and will connect them with instant peer-to-peer support, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
TalkCampus
The law which allows undocumented students who meet certain criteria to qualify for the in-state tuition rates at all of New Jersey’s public institutions of higher education.
New Jersey Dream Act
This is a pair of two or more courses, often with the same theme, that has two or three professors coordinate class work, assignments, and field trips to assist the linked group of students discover and explore connections between distinct and seemingly unrelated fields of study.
Learning Communities
Established in 1997, it supports and promotes the College and its students by building awareness and developing financial resources.
HCCC Foundation
A process for a student to receive approval for a withdrawal from a class after the withdrawal deadline.
Special Circumstances for Withdrawal
This service allows students to search for free or reduced cost services like medical care, food, job training and more.
Aunt Bertha
The number of years a DACAmented and undocumented must attend high school in New Jersey to qualify for state aid.
3 years
This department provides information and opportunities with four-year partner institutions to assist students in transferring their Associate Degrees to the four-year college of their choice.
Transfer Pathways
It offers free, educational opportunities for community members, students, faculty, and administration to engage in art exhibitions, lectures, and events which strengthen our learning neighborhood and collective identity.
Department of Cultural Affairs
When a student wants their record to show that they have attended a course regularly, but who do not wish to earn credit for that course.
Auditing a Class
The percent of HCCC students who experienced food insecurity in the prior 30 days.

This teams strives to maintain a healthy, welcoming, and safe campus environment and will engage in proactive approaches to address concerning behavior.
CARE TEAM
It is dedicated to enhancing the professional and intellectual development of our faculty through a range of professional development opportunities, collaborations, and discussions.
Center for Teaching, Learning, and Innovation
A policy for when a student has surpassed 20 college credits toward a certificate program or 50 college credits toward a degree program.
Auto-Graduation Policy
