Zeus had Athena with a mortal woman. Hera got mad at Zeus for having a child with a mortal and cursed Athena's mortal mom. To protect them both, Zeus ate them. A few months later, Zeus had a headache and Hephaestus cracked open his skull, releasing Athens from his brain.
