Any indirect aggressive action is NOT part of the Conflict Resolution Model.

Making sarcastic comments, giving backhanded compliments, giving someone the silent treatment, being late to something as a way to control something or signal your time is more important, guilt-baiting (using indirect ways to make others feel guilty), giving someone the cold shoulder, being uncooperative, withholding information to punish somebody, etc.

What is Dispute?

Disputing your beliefs and expectations is a form of thought-stopping. Are you holding any unrealistic or irrational beliefs/expectations? How can you dispute those?

You're at Walmart and somebody starts yelling at you for taking the last Texas Longhorns limited edition Cheerios. You become sweaty, your muscles become tight, and you start thinking about popping him in the face. You know that these are cues that you are becoming angry. What do you do?

Use coping skills to calm down, then rationally deescalate the situation.
