When I was a senior in high school/ freshman in college, I would go to the Milan dragway every weekend in the summer/fall and was my best friend's PR and right hand gal. She used to race 10 second fox body mustangs on a quarter mile strip. This might have included changing jets out on a carb, checking temperature and pressure on tires, making sure her fire suit and seat belt harnesses were secure, staging her on the lane, or cooking meals out of the trailer microwave. As life went on, we would go to Caniff or French road in Detroit and becmae friends with the "Eastside Boyz", and would race for money, but mostly trying to run from the DPD when they would break it up. Those were the good times.

I once played Mary in a church nativity play and my dad bought a lifesize plastic donkey statue and attached it to wheels. I rode on in - star of the show! (Pretty sure the year before I was a sheep, so this was a big deal)!
