What should happen in the event of a fire drill or actual fire?
silently & immediately line up
WALK out the doors/staircase to the left (unless directed another way by your teachers)
stay calm & quiet as we move to our designated space on the field
If the stairwell is blocked or we're in another space: never elevator - new stairwell - get to field with others
What should it look like and sound like starting at 2:59 during carpool?
- quiet, calm, at your desks
- listening for your name and whether you go to the cars or the bridge
- You may read your book or work on ONE thing that is EASY TO PACK UP.
How should we walk to and from MMM and Gathering with our buddies so that everyone stays safe and accounted for?
- line up two-by-two behind a teacher
- stay close to your buddy (you can chat quietly)
- remain on the sidewalk
- walk carefully up/down the stairs
- scoot up when you get to our spot in the CR!
What 3 things do your teachers expect from you when they use a signal to get your attention?
active listening:
still bodies and hands (stop where you're going and what you're doing)
voices off

What four things should we NOT pack in our snacks and lunches?
Pirate Booty, peanut butter, nuts, and candy

Go silent, calmly move to the back room, stay standing and still.
What natural consequence will our class suffer if we can't line up efficiently, either when leaving or coming back from class?
We will use your free time to practice these expectations. We will practice as much as we need to as a class, which could be a big bummer for you regarding your snack and recess time.

What steps can we take when we have conflict with others?
First, try to communicate honestly and kindly about your feelings or needs using an I-message. If that doesn't work, seek help from an adult.
