1. Ensures a clean and safe environment by killing germs that can spread to the next dog. Proper cleaning mitigates the spread of diseases common in animal care environments such as canine cough, respiratory virus, Giardia, etc

1. an adbundance of dog hair, that may need to be vacuumed  off. 

2. Dog feces: clean as much as you can off so it doesn't dirty up the washer, clog the drains, and messed up other items in the wash with it

3. check beddings for a zipper before placing entire bed in wash

4. Clean out lint trap before placing anything in the dryer

What chemical do we use to complete deep cleans and why? 

HDQ & its because HDQ is a hospital grade disinfectant. We need everything sanitized before the next dog is boarded in the cabin to mitigate the risk of spreading germs that can cause illnesses/diseases.

List the steps of a Deep Clean.

1. Make a bucket with HDQ from the mop dispenser

2. Grab Vacuum, rag, soft & hard  scrub brush

3. Remove any bowls

4. Sweep the entire cabin (INCLUDING THE COT)

5.Wipe very tops of cabins / doors

6. Scrub down walls, top of cabin, inside/out cabin door, and wipe the cot.
