It is your job to ensure there are an appropriate amount of lifeguards to patrons. What are the guard to patron rations and how many lifeguards need to be on deck for:
a) Lane swim
b) Public Swim
c) Family Swim
d) Swim Club
1-29: 1 Lifeguard
30-74: 2 Lifeguards
75-100: 3 Lifeguards
101-149: 4 Lifeguards
150-200: 5 Lifeguards
*One additional Lifeguard for every 100 people thereafter*
All public and family swim times need a minimum of two guards as well as swim clubs, but follows the rest of the ratios. All other programming follows the ratios

picking up all garbage, scrubbing with lemon tree, spraying it down the drain, squeegeeing and picking drains

In the teachpool while closing and then according to the schedule in the main pool once maintenance is completed

Buddy guarding CANNOT be done and it is your job to ensure it isn't happening

Using mirror cleaner to clean ALL mirrors, counters, sinks, soap dispensers toilets/urinals, and changing tables sprayed with lemon tree and wiped down, toilet pods/urinal cleaner put in and scrubbed

The back page of the pool test book (Flow rates/Chlorine weight/Makeup water (if needed)/Boiler ON/OFF)
Empty the air compressor
Start the whirlpool jets
Front doors, foyer doors, doors from the changerooms to the deck, boiler room door, back office door, and the staff entrance/exit (make sure it latches)

ON THE POOL
It is your job to lead the lifeguards and ensure they are watching the pool
Not picking their nails, staring at the ground, etc
Needs to be worn whenever using chemicals by yourself and staff

If something needs to be completed that only you as a head guard can do, can you leave the other lifeguards on deck longer than they normally would be?
Yes! As a head lifeguard you have specific responsibilities than only you can complete. It's not the goal to keep lifeguards on deck for long periods of time, but keeping the pool running is also important
