Sick child procedure
The child should be taken to the office to be isolated from the other children and made as comfortable.
The child’s parent or guardian should be called. If they cannot be reached the names on their emergency contact form should be called in the order chosen by the family.
Any personal items the child came in contact with should be sent home to be washed. Any program items such as cots or stuffed animals should be disinfected by center staff or washed.
