What are maxillary sinuses?

Disparity of the eye axes (squint, crossed eye)

Bony prominence of the skull located just behind the ear
What is the mastoid?
Clear vesicles with red base that evolve into pustules. Typically at lip-skin junction (aka "cold sores")
What are oral herpes?
Projection of tissue hanging down from middle of soft palate
What is the uvula?
Assessed by palpating anterior to tragus of each ear bilaterally and asking patient to open mouth.
What is temporomandibular joint?
Drooping of upper eyelid over iris and possibly covering pupil
What is ptosis?
Inflammation of the middle ear and tympanic membrane
What is otitis media?
Smooth, pale gray, tumor-like nodules in the nasal cavitiy due to chronic allergic rhinitis
What are polyps?
Two small lymphoid organs located in posterior pharynx.
What are tonsils?
Severe unilateral headache characterized by aura, sensitivity to light and sound
What is a migraine?
Involuntary, rapid, rhythmic movement of the eyeball
What is nystagmus?
Ringing in the ears
What is tinnitus?
Red, swollen inflammation of nasal mucosa
What is rhinitis?
Abnormal enlargement of thyroid gland
What is a goiter?
One of seven skull bones, involves posterior prominence
What is the occiput?
Area of ocular fundus in which blood vessels exit and enter
What is the optic disc?
Thin, translucent, oval-shaped tissue that stretches across ear canal
What is the tympanic membrane?
Nosebleed, usually from anterior septum
What is epistaxis?
Chain of lymph nodes located above clavicles
