In this arm of HHC's integrated healthcare system, clinicians provide therapy to patients with acute onset of injury or illness and assist in determining their ability to return home or stay for further admission into the hospital.

This public on line learning platform offers clinical education and certifcation preparation for all part time and full time HHCRN Clinicians. Customized course work is created and housed within this platform. The cost for collaegue enrollment is absorbed by HHCRN.

HHCRN provides therapy in a number of settings across the Hartford Healthcare continuum. In this setting patients are recovering from illness or injury, receive 3 hours of therapy each day and usually spend approximately 2 weeks or less.
What is the Inpatient Rehab Unit?
This specialized program pairs individuals interested in learning, growing and fine tuning thier skills with select colleagues that are able to teach, advise and influence professional growth.

This colleague works in a variety of settings and addresses a patient's ability to swallow, think and/ or speak.

This Special Interest Group provides opportunities for community outreach.

In this setting the therapist evaluates and treats the patient that is determined to be homebound.

This 13 month program is offered to clinicians that are interested in growing their orthopedic skills. Clinicians participate in this program while treating patients, researching, learning and student teaching at the University of Hartford.

HHC's EMR allows for a seamless transtion for our patients from one level of care to the next within our system. This level of care requires the patient to travel to it and perform therapy there.

These are groups of subject matter exeperts that meet quarterly to address program development, establish standards of care and competencies with an eye on operational transparency.

This colleague works in a clinic, on the field and in a gym to get their patient up and running again.

This Special Interest Group, led by a subject matter expert, meets to discuss the latest research, medications, most effective treatment techniques and exercises to manage head and neck pain.

In this setting, patients are able to stay for a short term to receive therapy prior to returning to their home, or they are invited to remain much longer to receive care around the clock.
What is a Skilled Nursing Facility?
Clinical structure drives performance and accountability. This is a meeting that is held twice weekly in each clinic. It is used to discuss issues that matter most to the team, problem solve, monitor metrics and share recognitions and infromation.
