The five dimensions of health and wellbeing are related; that is, a change in one dimension can contribute to changes in the other dimensions. As a result, all five dimensions need attention to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

A person who has suffered a broken leg (physical health and wellbeing) and is recovering in hospital. While in hospital they are missing out on school and feel like they are falling behind, which is creating negative thought patterns and making them feel stressed (mental health and wellbeing).

Trend - a general change or movement in a particular direction. For example, trends indicate a significant increase in obesity rates over the past 20 years.

Relationship – the way in which two or more thing s are connected e.g. As age increases, obesity rates in adults mostly increase, and vice versa as age decreases.
