What is Connor's world like? How is it different from ours?
Connors status quo, is very similar to our world. There are cars and schools, but children under the age of 18 can abominably be unwound, which is when all your body parts are harvested and given to others who need them.
Who is Risa?
Risa is an orphan who is getting unwound. She is smart, strategic and talented. Her biggest ability is to beguile others.
Where does the duo (Connor, Risa) go after successfully running away? What is their future plan?
After running away, the trio randomly meet Sonia and Hannah, who transport and hide AWOL teens like the duo. The two then decides to trust Sonia and Hannah, and run away to a place where AWOL teens hide until they turn eighteen.
When, the camp was ordered to make restitution to Connor, Connor was able to get his eye back (but not his arm), what part of the hero cycle is this?
Treasure. Due to a loophole, Connor was now a dead 19 year old guard who worked for the camp.
Due to his rare blood type, Roland is Unwinded first and ironically, his arm is given to Connor after the explosion. Connor revulsed, but did not have any other option.
Who was Connor's main adversary? Was his adversary the cause of his call to adventure?
Yes, his main adversary were his parents. Connor found out that he was getting unwound due to his temper and his never-ending arguments with his parents. Because he was not eighteen yet, his parents had the right to make the decision to get him unwound. After finding out, he decides to run away with a girl he loves.
Who is Lev?
Lev is another character who unwillingly runs away with Connor.
Where does Lev go?
After turning himself him, his pastor meets with him and tell Lev to run away and reinvent himself. He departs and travels with a boy name CiFy
What was the "result"?
After leaving the camp, Connor and Risa decides to stay together, while Lev, whos blood is still explosive is under arrest and made sure he cannot blow himself up.
How is Connor like an Epic hero?
Yes and No. Epic heroes are selfless and are ready to give their life up at anytime. But Connor is self preserving, but he does risk his life for his friends.
In Connor's life, who assuaged his bad mood?
Ariana, his best friend was his love of his life and was also his assistance before his journey.
What is Connor like?
Connor is a troubled teen in absolute desolation. he argues with his parents, and causes trouble. He decides to go AWOL after finding out he was getting unwound.
What trials do Connor and Risa go through in the camp? Where do they end up?
Connor and Risa had to go through many adversities, but the biggest adversity they went through was a bully named Roland, another unwind. The two end up going to a place called the "Graveyard" a plane graveyard, which is run by a former Admiral who commandeer the planes, where other Unwinds stay until the age of eighteen.
Do the main characters return to their lifestyles?
No, Connor and Lisa devote their lives in helping AWOL children escape and survive until the age of 18. Levi however, due to his heroic mindset, is under arrest for having explosives in his blood and is made sure that he does not blow up.
What is a "Clapper"?
A clapper is a person who puts explosives in his bloodstream and when the person claps, their body and their surroundings blow up. Lev was a clapper, but did not blow himself up. He is now in desolation all tied up.
How did Connor get his assistance?
After running away in the middle of the night, Connor goes to Ariana's house because the two of them were suppose to run away together. But Ariana backs out last minute. Connor then runs away, only to get chased by the police. He runs into a truck and the truck driver allows him to hide in his truck.
How do Risa and Connor trick the Cop chasing after them?
Lisa acts like she is hurt, and when the cop tries to make sure she is alright, Connor attacks the cop and tranquilizes the cop with his own gun.
When the Admiral (the Graveyards boss) gets a heart attack and Connor and other Unwinds flies him to the nearest hospital, what part of the hero cycle is this.
This is the approach part of the hero cycle. Connor after bringing the Admiral to the hospital have a foreboding that he might get caught.
What's different from Connor's old life to his new life?
In his old life, he was hot tempered, aloof, troubled, aggressive, hated others. But his new life with Lisa has him taking care of other AWOL teens. His physical appearance, which was ponderous at first, became more muscular and leaner.
Did Connor have a good time in the "Graveyard"?
No, despite the atmosphere being revelry, Connor was always on high alert due to Roland. He wanted to make sure Roland didn't do anything disgusting and cruel to Risa.
Is Connor able to depart for his journey?
No, due to his phone being on, his parents were able to track him in the truck and police come to take him. But Connor refuses and run into the highway while tranquilizer darts are being fired at him.
What is the Cops attitude toward Unwind children?
The cop had a contemptible attitude that Unwind children and teenagers should not exist in the world.
In the story Unwind, what part of the story is the Crisis stage of the Hero Cycle?
The Crisis stage was when Lev, Connor, and Risa were all sent to the harvest camp, where kids body parts were harvested, and soon Connor gets called to get Unwound. As he enters the surgery mat, his other camp mates infect their blood with explosives and destroys the whole building. Through the smoke, and the ground in a tremulous state, Connor travails out of the burning building without his left arm and right eye.
What part of the story was "resolution"?
In the end of the book, Connor and Risa decides to become more, and chooses to help AWOL kids in need. They also fight the government law against Unwinding.
What is the Morale?
Even teenagers who seem aloof, contemptible, can make big changes.
