A resource center where students can receive tutoring assistance in mathematics, science, and other disciplines, as well as coaching in study skills.

What is a college dean?
Software used by USI to aid in the teaching of classes by providing online support for conversations, grades, course documents, etc.
What is Blackboard?
College credit earned while in high school from another regionally accredited college or university.
What is dual credit?
Greek organizations that students can join to increase involvement and sense of belonging.
What are fraternities/sororities?
Serves as a resource for undergraduate writers by providing assistance from peer writing consultants, a comfortable writing environment, and reference materials.
What is the Writer's Room?
The college or university official who is responsible for maintaining academic records.
What is a Registrar?
Electronic student portal where students can view their class schedule, grades, advisor, etc.
What is Self Service?
A form used to change courses once the semester has begun.
What is add/drop form?
Place to be for campus events.
What is the Quad?
A student who teaches an additional class, outside of class, to review material and review for exams.
What is an SI leader?
Highest ranking officer of an academic unit on campus.
What is a program/department chair?
If a course is full, students may have the option to add themselves to this via myUSI.
What is a waitlist?
A test given to students at the end of the semester in a particular course of study.
What is a final exam?
Christmas tradition on USI's campus with festive lights.
What is Lighting a Tradition?
Group to join if you are first-generation, low-income, and/or have a registered disability that provides resources and services.
What is SSS (TRIO)?
The senior academic officer of a university who typically oversees all academic policies and curriculum-related matters.
What is a provost?

What is the bulletin?
Students who are working on required classes to achieve admission into majors/programs.
