Sanitize hands! This should be done before touching the patient to take vitals preferably when stepping into the room and also when stepping out of the room.

well visits AM - until 2 pm if needed, virtual visits/sick visits PM
Regarding COVID19 - why is is important to wear a mask? and what PPE should be worn when rooming patients?
To keep ourselves and other protected. Some people do not develop COVID19 symptoms so it is hard to know if they have it or not.
-PPE should be a mask and gloves (gowns and goggles not required)

What is one thing PSR's should be making sure happens when scheduling a virtual visit for a patient?
Possible answers:
-Ensure that patient receives email from Centura virtual care
-double check demographics and insurance info
-Ask for a back up technology in case Amwell fails
-document a time patient wants to be called for pre chart
Take me through the pen hand out/clean up process at the front desk.
Keep a bin labeled clean and one labeled dirty. Have patients grab pens from the clean bin. Once they are done with the pen have them drop it off in the dirty bin. Keep this going and sanitize pens at lunch time wearing gloves and put back in clean bin to use for the afternoon.
What is the difference between COVID19 PCR testing and COVID19 IgG, IgM testing?
-PCR detects if patient is having an active case of COVID19 infection (refer to drive through testing for this)
-IgG, IgM is immunity testing, if patient has had COVID19 in the past (not necessarily symptomatic anymore) These can be done in office with a lab order.

True or False: A husband and a wife can use the same email to do virtual visits with their providers
False: patients can only use one email as it is a unique identifier in amwell. spouse would need to use another email and if they do not have one they need to create one.
What are the duties of the person sitting by the front door?
-checking temps for everybody that walks into the clinic
-asking patient if experiencing COVID symptoms (SOB, cough, chest pain)
-work in the referral work ques in between patients.
-Sanitize lobby in the AM, during lunch and end of day.
-making sure everybody that steps in the clinic is wearing a mask. If not provide a mask
How does COVID19 spread?
The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. CDC recommends that everyone 2 years and older wear a cloth face covering that covers their nose and mouth when they are out in the community. Cloth face coverings should NOT be put on babies or children younger than 2 because of the danger of suffocation
