First artificial satellite that kicked off the space race. First one was originally meant to carry scientific instruments to study deceleration because of atmospheric drag. The second carried a dog named Laika.

For an article for Show Magazine in 1963, she went undercover as a Playboy Bunny. Founded and edited Ms. Magazine. Was a prominent advocate for abortion rights and wrote "Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions" in 1983. "A women without a man is like a fish without a bicycle".

Black Muslim civil rights activist whom changed his name after converting to the Nation of Islam. "The Ballot or the Bullet". Assassinated while giving a speech

Gold age of Chinese civilization (206 BC- 220 AD). Founded by Liu Bang, who reunited China and put the capital at Chang'an. Emporer Wu was the greatest out of the 7 Emporers by expanding China's frontiers.
Infectious fever carried by lice. Spread across Europe in the late 1400's. Killed many victims of the Holocaust including Anne Frank. Mostly with military conflicts.

Ruptured #2 oxygen tank. was supposed to land in the fra mauro region of the moon. All 3 astronauts returned to Earth safely.

An author who wrote "Mrs, Dalloway" and "To the Lighthouse" but her essay "A Room of One's Own" is her most important. Created Judith Shakespeare; Shakespeare's fake sister. Couldn't be like her brother because of her lack of education.

Leader of Pan-African Movement and the Black Power Movement. Changed his name and moved to Guinea.

Know for its devotion to cultural activities instead of war fair and establishing new Neo-Confucianism. discovered gun powder and the Compass. Scholarly elitism instead of military elitism. Gave parts of it to the North Liao Dynasty to get peace.
Song Dynasty
Happened in 430 BC during the Pelopennesian War. Went from Athens to Ethiopia and killed 25% of the population.
The Great Plague of Athens
Known as the Challenger and Columbia. Exploded because of issues with the rocket boosters. Challenger had a teacher on board. Both had 7 crew.
STS-51-L and STS-107
Known for writing "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman". She argued women are inherently equal to men but appear unequal because they do not have the same access to education. Daughter is Mary Shelly who wrote "Frankenstein"
Mary Wollstone Craft
Early investigative journalist who helped found the NAACP. Investigated lynching in 1890s and documented her research in pamphlets such as "Southern Horrors" and "The Red Record".
Ida B. Wells
(184-280 AD) Enormous cultural impact because of the romance novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". After the Han Dynasty split up which was brought back together briefly and then split back up for the next 4 centuries.
