Why was there a political deadlock in Canada
Canada East and West were not united in their goals they both had different concerns and priorities. Canada East and West differed in their goals, with the East advocating for the end of the sovereign landholding system and the West promoting public education through selling clergy reserves such as Anglican churches.

The British North American relationship with Britain was not the best with feelings. Many people felt pride in their connection to the BE (British Empire). Colonists believed that the BG British government was the best in the world. Others felt a growing desire to have more control over their future. The Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution was an enormous Change in how goods were produced and how people were employed. In general Machines replaced many people. Many goods were produced in factories instead of homes or small shops. Factory workers were paid small daily wages. Many unskilled workers were spending long hours with these machines which lead to injury or sometimes death. This was hard for many carpenters, printers and shoemakers to make profit. They would then start hiring children and women for lower wages.
How was the United States an external cause for confederation
America was a cause for confederation because the Canadians were afraid that the Americans would take over their land because they were becoming a very big colony as well as they didn't want another war with them. As the us wanted to fight. Some causes include the American Civil War where they convinced British North Americans to protect themselves and create unions. Another one was manifest destiny where Americans began to feel like they should control North America.

Louis Riel was born in Red River; he studied law in Montreal and understood both Metis and non aboriginal ways of life. He was a secretary of the national metis committee and ended up becoming president he gained francophone and anglophone metis support for the government.

Clifford Sifton had a task of attracting immigrants,He was minister of the interior from 1896 to 1905. He Had clear ideas about the type of immigrants Canada needed and how to encourage them to come to Canada. In Sifton's mind Agricultural immigration was key to Canada's economic growth.
The Klondlike gold rush
Klondike Gold Rush was the biggest gold Rush sight that caused a second immigration boom. The news was spread from Newspapers in Yukon which gathered many people to enter the area which was the best way to earn money, some came out lucky and some came out empty handed. A couple NWMP officers came to Yukon in response or complaints from the local bishop that there were alot of Americans and they wanted to be populated by Canadians.
Why was there a scandal around the building of the CPR
Liberal Members found out that Sir Hugh Allen was granted the CPR contract in return for political donations of $360,000. Months later it was confirmed that the government received a huge pay bill from Allan. Mcdonald knew they would force them out of office so he resigned.

(1818-1891) was a lawyer and politician who was part of the Rouge party. He believed the provinces would have no power in the confederation and led Canada East's opposition to the union. He did not like the movement for a larger union of British colonies in North America. He despised macdonald and Cartier the Rouge Party continued and joined the Reformers/liberal party. In 1869, a group of Francophone Métis people formed the national Métis committee, with Louis Riel as secretary. The committee planned to limit Canadian authority in the Red River until Métis rights were guaranteed. They sent a letter to Ottawa, ordering William McDougall not to enter without committee permission. McDougall ignored the letter and set off for the Red River.
Why were there a lot of immigrants coming to Canada during the end of the 1800s?
The reason that there were many immigrants at the end of the 1800s is that Clifford Sifton was attracting immigrants to come to Canada. Sifton had a target on American farmers and had clear ideas on encouraging them to come. So he went looking in the US and UK for farmers. He hired agents to bring people to Canada by using the CPR and it worked the Canadian government was ready to assist all farmers.

If the business fails their and other people's investment however if they succeeded they would become very wealthy. Before industrialization, most businesses were small.

A creek discovered in 1896 that was located in Yukon where gold was discovered. The creek triggered the Klondike Gold Rush. It's important to Canadian history because it led to the rapid development of the Yukon, shaping its economy and population.
Why did many colonies not want to join together (in confederation)?
build and create their plans however that ended quite quickly. As Nova Scotia did want to join the confederation there was Joseph Howe who was in opposition to joining the confederation. Many people also thought that other provinces/territories which turned behind their backs. Some started stating that they did not have anything in common with others and continued to ask why they should join the confederation. Some colonies had many disagreements which would also lead to many colonies not joining.
Hugh Allan
Hugh Allen owned factories and shipping lines he became a major railway promoter with many ties to government leaders including John A Macdonald as he bribed him to build the CPR helping Canada.
