How do scientists help the study of history?

Place- what is it like. it talks about the physical features of a place. these features can be human features which are human created ot natural reasorces, features created by nature.

Human/Enviorment Interactions- How does this place affect the lives of the people living there and how people affect the place in return.

Movement-how and why do people, ideas, and goods move to and from this place? People travel and send goods from place to place. 

Region- are the common features that certain areas share. A region is defined by physical features such as mountains, and rivers, or by human features, such as religion, language or livelihood.

Dating artifacts tells historians when an artifact was made and allows them to see how human culture and ways of life changed.
