The large book containing Gospel readings used during the Liturgy.
What is the Gospel Book?
He sometimes chants and reads the Gospel.
Who is the deacon?
This feast celebrates when the Holy Spirit came to the apostles.
What is Pentecost?
This angel told Mary she would give birth to Jesus.
Who is Gabriel?
He carries the Gospel Book, sometimes right after the icons.
Who is the deacon?
This cloth covers the altar and is often decorated.
What is the altar cloth?
She is the Mother of God and honored in every service.

This event celebrates when God became man in Jesus.

This is the place behind the icon screen where the altar is located

He leads our church in the U.S. and wears a mitre.
