What is VA Handbook 5011
The leave earned by an employee during the current leave year that is unused at any given time in that leave year.
Accrued Leave
Short periods of annual leave (3 days or less) may be approved verbally.

FWS employees are entitled to the applicable night differential if a majority of the non-overtime hours of the tour of duty falls between 3 p.m. and midnight or 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.
