Student must be enrolled in at least one 3-credit class (or be employed by the housing department)
Who is under the Residency Requirement?
Full-time, undergraduates, who have not completed 60 credit hours, and are under the age of 21

Documented Medical Condition or Religious Dietary Observance.
What are the reasons for waived cancellation fees that must be submitted prior to opening day?
- Medical Withdrawal
- Academic Disqualification
- Moving to another TWU Campus/Nursing School

Length of stay

In what circumstances would a student get their housing deposit back?
1) The university is unable to grant housing due to occupancy level
2) Satisfactory completion of the License
What is the default meal plan given to residential students in Guinn, Stark, and Parliament Village who don't choose one themselves?
15 Meal Plan with $300
What are the reasons for waived cancellation fees that must be submitted prior to December 1?
- Student is engaged in full time Student teaching or an academic internship
- Student is graduating at the end of the fall semester
- Student is in a study abroad through TWU
How long after their check-in date does a student have to cancel their housing and receive a refund?
10 days
- After May 10-$350
- No Show-$350
- After Check-in - $350 and prorated cost up to ten days
- Students cancelling their assignment after occupying their space beyond ten days will be charged the entire session’s rent.
What does a student need to do to opt out of the Photo Release?
Complete a copy of the appropriate Opt Out of Photograph Release form and turn it in
What makes a student eligible for Family Housing?
-Must be legally married;
-Must be a single parent who has legal custody of a child or children; or
-Must be a legal guardian of a child or children.
What is the deadline to cancel a meal plan?
Census date for the semester
What are the cancellation fees for a Meal Plan cancelled prior to census day?
$100
What is the cancellation fee for cancelling a summer meal plan if the license cancellation is before the license term?
$0
What conditions need to be met for a student to be deemed abandoned?
- Student appears to have moved out
- Student’s clothes, furniture, and personal belongings have been substantially removed; and
- Student has not responded by email, for three (3) calendars days, to TWU’s notice left on the inside of the main entry door, stating that TWU considers the assigned space abandoned.
What happens if a student is not enrolled in classes two weeks prior to opening day?
Student’s assigned space will be cancelled, and Student will not be charged cancellation fees.
What do Lowry Woods Residents get that is included in their rent?
$50 dining dollars
For a new student with an active license for the 2024-2025 academic year, what are the cancellation fees for a cancellation submitted on September 15th
$500 and 50% of their semester’s rent (50% will be refunded)
What is the cancellation fee for cancelling a summer meal plan during the license term?
$100 cancellation fee and only refunded unused amount
What does the Residential Purposes section of the License prohibit?
business activity or any other business-related activity
