1. Post an unofficial list of candidates/tickets by 6:00 on the last day of declaration...election bulletin board
2. provide candidates with a copy of the election schedule
3. provide candidates with a copy of Chpater 600 (the election code)

If the student is out of town they can request an absentee ballot by submitting a copy of a photo ID and proof of enrollement atleast 10 days prior to elections and it must be returned before 6pm the day before elections

10 Election Procedures/Rules and Regulations

-Candidates must sign the Statement of Agreement ...statement of understanding
-Campaigning not allowed within 50 ft of the voting precinct
-Posters no smaller than 17x22, no larger than 18x24
-Clear packaging tape must go on the BACK of all posters
-No posters shall overlap another candidates
-"Please Do Not Post" must go on endorsments such as flyers and brochures
- Candidates name and two phone numbers shall be placed on the back of all posters
-Bullhorns/Megaphones are only allowed from 9am-9pm while campaigning on campus
-No campaign materials shall duplicate any trademarked logo's, slogans, or images.
-Only one poster shall be posted at each approved location
-No campaigning in SGA or Lee Hall

Run Off Election

The two candidates receiving the highest vote count in the general election shall run in the Run-off Election. Its held two business days after the general election. They are ONLY held if no candidate receives majority vote for that race.

Election Bulletin Board

Election results on the evening of the elections, as soon as the results are known.

The names of those candidates qualified within four (4) School Business Days after the end of Declaration of Candidacy.

The candidate must file declaration of candidacy with the commission at least 48 hours before the commencement of election day.

Major Vs Minor violation

A major violation is any violation that affects the outcome of an Election; repeated or multitude of Minor Violations or repeated blatant disregard of the Election Codes. 

A minor violation is any violation that does not affect the outcome of an Election.

1. Verify all campaign materials
2. Approve all campaign materials
3. Obtain and Approve all sample ballots for each voting academic class
4. Host events and promote initiatives that emphasize the democratic process
5. candidates shall meet w EC first Monday of DD 9-6pm
