What is a snake

For several reptiles, this is used so predators cannot see them.

Since reptiles' skin is hard, they must do this on occasion to grow.

These animals have four legs and a tail. The largest of these animals is the Komodo Dragon of Indonesia.

This means reptiles cannot regulate their body heat but must depend on heat from their environment.
What is cold blooded?
Some reptiles do this to blend in with their environments and help distribute evenly the sun's energy that hits their backs.

As reptiles cannot regulate body heat there are no reptiles on this continent.

These animals have scales that do not overlap and must live in or near water.
What are crocodiles?
These are what a reptile uses to breathe throughout their entire lives after hatching. They are similar to gills but with air as opposed to liquid.
What are lungs?
These lizards become immobile when the temperature drops below 40 degrees. Since they often like to sit in trees, they have been known to drop out of trees. They will live if thawed out.
What are iguanas? Especially, green.
These have adapted to live their whole lives in water, except to give birth, our legs and feet have developed into flippers similar to seals and walruses.

These reptiles are known for their hard shells. The shells are actually fused to their backbones.
What are turtles and tortoises?
Reptiles produce these soft leathery containers that later hatch and become offspring.
What are eggs?
Reptiles, as the first to live on land, are the first types of animals to grow these to protect their eyes.
