Explain a current trends in regards to labour force participation across the lifespan. You must look at a specific and relevant lifespans e.g. childhood and provide an example of participation in the labour force for this time of the persons life. 

Adolescence - Labour force participation can commence at 15 years of age. During this stage adolescents maybe unemployed. Many adolescents may be employed casual or even part time due to education and social commitments. May do voluntary work as part of school or to build their CV. 

Adulthood - A large number of adults are involved in full-time employment, This commitment may change when a life event such as the birth of a child occurs when a parent may choose to take leave from employment or alter their working hours to a part-time position.

Aged - Many people in this lifespan stage may commence retirement where they cease employment or move to part-time employment. Others may move from paid employment and offer their services to volunteer.
