"Next Sunday we all went to church (Huck, the Grangerfords and the Shepherdsons), about three mile, everybody a-horseback. The men took their guns along...it was a pretty ornery preaching--all about brotherly love...but everybody said it was a good sermon" (114).
What is ironic about this scene?
What is they go to church with their guns, hear a sermon about brotherly love, say its a good sermon, and then leave with their guns, apparently not acting in accordance with the sermon?
