Can I be written up if I have 5 absences in a rolling 12 month period?

Yes, and each event after will result in additional write ups in a rolling year.  Once you have 7 occurrences of absences or 8 occurrences of tardies in a year you can be terminated.

Two or more occurrences or one no call no show in the first 90 days of employment may be grounds for termination.

Is it okay for me to access my mothers patient files and check on her care?

Yes, and each event after will result in additional write ups in a rolling year.  Once you have 7 occurrences of absences or 8 occurrences of tardies in a year you can be terminated.

Will my management team be completing a 90 Day evaluation?

Yes, at Blue Ridge you are very important.  You management team will be completing a 90 Day evaluation.  Around the 60th day of employment you will receive an email alerting you to complete an assessment in success factors.  We also will be looking for feed back from you at 30 and 180 days.

What Is Performance Plus?

Each year, 4 organizational goals are set that support our corporate goals. These are goals that every teammate can impact such as teammate engagement, patient satisfaction, financial stewardship and hand washing.  Depending on how many goals are met, there is a bonus payout in December for all teammates.

As I return to work, what happens if I am given “light duty restrictions” for worker’s compensation?

All teammates are expected and required to work light duty if indicated by the treating physician. Provide copy of return to work form to Human Resources and Supervisor.  If there is no job in assigned care team, Human Resources will help find a restricted duty position somewhere in the system.

Is it okay to wear jeans or a t-shirt to briefings or training classes?

Not unless it is a designated day by your Senior Leader.  Only approved t-shirts can be worn.  You should report to class or work in appropriate attire to include your ID badge.

What is the Employee Emergency Fund?

Confidential assistance to help pay for food, shelter, housing, utilities funded by the HOPE campaign.  You are eligible to receive after 90 days of employment (longer if PRN).  You do not have to repay these funds; Requests are kept confidential.

Can I bring my child to a 45 minute CEO Briefing?

If you are at work, attending a class, briefings or anything that you would/could be paid for you should not bring your child to work.

We do have some designated events (Family Fun Day, Child Care (only at the designated child care room, etc.) that your child can attend.

What is EAP (Employee Assistance Program)?

•EAP provides professional and confidential counseling by an EAP counselor approved by HR. •You and your family members are eligible to receive a total of five (5) visits in a 12 month period, at no cost to you.•Human Resources can provide you with the contact number
