Do barbers and hairdressers have to stand most of the day?
Yes! They sometimes take breaks and can take lunch though.
Do most childcare workers work with younger or older children?
Younger! As children get older, they are able to be more independent and stay home alone more often.
Do you need to be nice to be a personal care aide?
Yes! Being nice is one of the most important parts of the job. If you can't be nice to people who are in need of your help, then this is not the job for you.
Does it get hot in a dry cleaning business?
Yes! There is a lot of steam and machines running. Remember to drink lots of water at a job that you would get hot working at.
Have you ever ordered anything other than a snack or a drink from a vending machine?

Do you need training for these jobs?
Yes! Most will go to a cosmetology school and learn how to cut hair. Then they need to apply for a license and probably take a test.
Do I have to know where children are at all times with this job?
Yes! You have to know where they are at all times, and you have to supervise, or be watching them. It is your job as the adult to make sure that everyone is safe.
What are some ways that you might help people if you have this job?
Help with walking, cooking, administering or giving them their meds, hygiene, cleaning their home or doing chores, and going out into the community. It is different for each client!
Do I need to show good customer service at a dry cleaning job?
Yes! You will need to answer customer questions, give them advice, and be professional when you speak with them.

Yes! Just like when eating at a restaurant and tipping your server, barbers and hairstylist can get tips too.
Do I have to keep track of the daily activities of the students?
Yes! Parents and guardians will want to know how their day was. And if you are working on things like reading and math, they will want to know how well they are learning.
I noticed that a client cannot hear and is deaf. Should I ask them why they are deaf?
NO! If you see or meet someone with a disability, don't ask them why. It is rude. Think about the person that they are instead of any disability that they might have. See people for the people that they are-always.
What does a personal trainer do?
They help people learn more about exercise and show them how to do it! They can explain thing like diets and other important health issues as well.

Scissors, razors, clippers, hair gel, towels, brooms, etc.
Will I work indoors AND outdoors as a childcare worker?
Probably! Young children need a way to get their energy out. Many programs use an outdoor playground for kids to play on or take walks.
Is it easy for everyone to ask for help?
Nope! For some people, it can be really hard and they may not want to. This is another reason that you should be super nice to any client that you work with.
Do I have to know a lot about the human body to be a personal trainer?
Yes! You will need to know about muscle groups, nutrition, and safety. There is a lot of science to learn and that is why personal trainers often take classes before starting that job.

Why is it important to listen to the customer when you have this job?
Because you should cut their hair the way that the customer wants you too! It's their choice, but you can give some advice or ideas.
What is the common name for someone who lives with a family and watches their young children?
A nanny!
You will have to show integrity when you work this job. What does integrity mean?
Integrity means doing the right thing even when nobody can see you-doing the right thing. You won't see your boss very often so it is up to you to be mature and show integrity!
What would I wear to work as a personal trainer?
Definitely not a dress shirt. Usually something more comfortable like athletic shorts or pants and a t shirt or polo shirt.
