Yes! Most will go to a cosmetology school and learn how to cut hair. Then they need to apply for a license and probably take a test.

Yes! You have to know where they are at all times, and you have to supervise, or be watching them. It is your job as the adult to make sure that everyone is safe.

Help with walking, cooking, administering or giving them their meds, hygiene, cleaning their home or doing chores, and going out into the community. It is different for each client!

Do I have to keep track of the daily activities of the students?

Yes! Parents and guardians will want to know how their day was. And if you are working on things like reading and math, they will want to know how well they are learning.

I noticed that a client cannot hear and is deaf. Should I ask them why they are deaf?

NO! If you see or meet someone with a disability, don't ask them why. It is rude. Think about the person that they are instead of any disability that they might have. See people for the people that they are-always.

What does a personal trainer do?

They help people learn more about exercise and show them how to do it! They can explain thing like diets and other important health issues as well.

Probably! Young children need a way to get their energy out. Many programs use an outdoor playground for kids to play on or take walks.

Nope! For some people, it can be really hard and they may not want to. This is another reason that you should be super nice to any client that you work with.

Do I have to know a lot about the human body to be a personal trainer?

Yes! You will need to know about muscle groups, nutrition, and safety. There is a lot of science to learn and that is why personal trainers often take classes before starting that job.

Definitely not a dress shirt. Usually something more comfortable like athletic shorts or pants and a t shirt or polo shirt.
