What is democracy?
This process requires at least 4 states and a majority of voters to agree to a referendum

Means "nobody's land"

The agreement between Germany, Austria Hungary and Italy.

The alliance between France, Britain and Russia

The rulebook which establishes how our government is run and what power it has.

Australia's government is divided into 2 separate houses.
What is a bicameral system?
This restricted migration for non-British immigrants. A dictation was created and only 52 people passed.
What is the White Australia Policy?
Militarism, alliances, imperialism and nationalism.

The assassination of Franz Ferdinand and the political crisis of July.
What is AC? What are the short term causes of WWI?
Under Federal law, all eligible Australian citizens must vote in ALL federal elections otherwise they will be fined.
What is compulsory voting?
A general vote by the electorate on a single political question that has been referred to them for a direct decision.

British colonies could only trade with Britain
What is mercantilism?
a form of combat where opposing forces attack, defend, and counterattack from systems of holes dug into the ground.
What is trench warfare?
a final demand or statement of terms, the rejection of which will result in retaliation or a breakdown in relations. Austria Hungary issued one of these to Serbia after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.
What is an ultimanum?
