This attachment style is formed in a disengaged home. Children are often ignored, their pain is dismissed or minimized, needs are not consistently met. Children often act out or become dramatic to have attention drawn to them.

This attachment style is connected to a Rigid Home. Children are often overcorrected, and the tones that are used in speaking with them are harsh and contemptuous. Kids that come from this home feel like they are never good enough.
