Once there was a woman who used to clean the masjid. One day, the Prophet PBUH asked about her and the Companions told him that she died. He said “Why didn’t you tell me?” He then went to her grave and prayed a funeral prayer for her. This hadith shows us how much the Prophet PBUH loved this woman for caring about the masjid by cleaning it.

Why did the Prophet PBUH say to not make masjids into bazaars?
This is because the bazaars make one forget Allah and occupy the heart in buying, selling, and acquiring goods of the dunya. If one buys and sells in the masjid, he makes the best of places into the worst of places; a place of remembrance becomes a place where one forgets Allah .
