On the first day of class, each student will be assigned a specific campus location to research. As we digitally tour campus, once we reach your assigned location, you will share information about the location with the class. You should include key details such as what activities, resources, or services are housed in that location, as well as information about convenient parking options nearby.

Write a letter to yourself reflecting on how you feel as the new semester begins and outlining what you are hoping for during your first semester at FSU. Your letter should be 500+ words, thoughtful and honest, capturing your emotions, expectations, and any challenges you anticipate as you begin this new chapter.

Why FSU Project
Share your story up to this point. Your story should reflect your experiences, challenges, and aspirations, as well as your personal and academic goals. You may express yourself through a creative medium of your choice. Your submission should clearly tell your story, convey your hopes for this class, and demonstrate thoughtfulness and creativity.

Engagement & Involvement Presentation + Verification
Attend and participate in one meeting or event hosted by an on-campus student organization of your choice. This is an opportunity to explore student involvement at FSU, learn about campus organizations, and connect with the campus community. After attending the event, you will give a 2-minute presentation to the class about the organization. Your presentation should include the name of the organization, its purpose or mission, details about the event you attended, and your overall experience.
How many classes can you miss?
Students with three or more unexcused absences will be assessed an Unsatisfactory (U) grade in this class.
