If a parent/guardian becomes hostile during a visit a parent educator may do one of two things depending on the situation.

1-deescalate the situation if he/she feels comfortable or 

2-leave immediately and as calmly as possible if he/she does not feel comfortable and contact the police for family safety as well as the ELC Director and PAT Supervisor to determine if a hotline call is necessary
