Qur’an & Commands
This surah (49:10) commands believers to “fear Allah and reconcile between your brothers.”
What is Al-Ḥujurāt?

The better of two estranged Muslims is the one who initiates this.

The Prophet ﷺ compared the believers’ love and compassion to this single entity.

In Al-Nisā’ 4:114, Allah says reconciliation between people is one of the few private conversations with this quality.
What is goodness (khayr)?
He described conflict as “the shaver,” explaining it does not shave hair but shaves this.
What is religion (dīn)?
The Prophet ﷺ warned that suspicion is the most false form of this.
What is speech?
Allah promises a “great reward” for those who reconcile, provided they seek this.
What is the pleasure of Allah?
When one part of the “body” suffers, the rest responds with these two conditions.
What are fever and sleeplessness?
According to Al-Ḥujurāt 49:12, believers are warned to avoid this, because some of it is sin.
What is suspicion?
The Prophet ﷺ taught that it is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than this many days.
What is three days?
Shayṭān rejoices when believers do this, but is weakened when they unite
What is divide?
Reconciliation removes barriers to this divine mercy.
What is forgiveness?
The Prophet ﷺ said believers are like a building, each part doing this for the other.
What is strengthening?
The Qur’an describes believers as members of this spiritual family.
What is brotherhood?
On Mondays and Thursdays, the gates of Paradise open, but forgiveness is delayed for believers who have this between them.
What is enmity? (hostility)
Gossip and mistrust ignite conflict, but believers are instructed to give one another this benefit.
What is the benefit of the doubt?
The reconciler becomes a source of this in the community, healing wounds others may overlook.
What is mercy?
Healing disputes between families and tribes was a frequent act of this person’s life. (Easy)
Who is the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?
Reconciliation is not optional but a religious duty rooted in this spiritual quality.
What is taqwā (God-consciousness)?
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Give gifts, for it removes” this negative emotion
What is hatred?
Protecting these two — one physical and one spiritual — is the first line of defense against division.
What are the tongue and the heart?
Choosing peace over pride leads Allah to raise a believer in this.
What is honor?
Unity is described as a blessing, harmony as a mercy, and forgiveness as a pathway to this.
