The attack of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese empire was significant because it lead the US into WII and is shocked the American people. Pearl Harbor was bombed on Dec. 7, 1941 by the Japanese. This caused the US to declare war on Japan and in turn Germany and Italy declared war on us. The attack shocked the American people and they were ready to prepare for war.
