They ate leftovers. They ate roti, pudding and water. This was all the poor could afford. This was the best they could eat in a daily basis.

They wore ragged clothing. They wore the same clothing as the average people but it was not at the best condition.
Where did the poor live?
The poor lived in small shacks. These houses had a few rooms. At least two people will be in each room.
What jobs did the poor have?
They did not have the best jobs. They worked hard but their wages were not the best. The jobs were cleaning floors in stores, boxing boxes and they had to chop trees down.
What did the poor do for fun?
They had toys made from wood. Some people got wood from their jobs. Well, if their job was a wood worker. They had rag dolls. They had wooden toy cars. They had wooden mini figures.
What did the average people eat?
The average people ate raisins, nuts, porridge, beans, cattle, sheep, wheat, chickpeas and fruit juice.
What did average people wear?
Men: Wrap skirts. They wore no shirt since the weather was very hot in India. Sandals made of cotton.
Women: Shoulder shoals. They wore sandals made of cotton. Wore long dresses that covered most of their body.
Children: Same clothes matching their gender.

The average people of the Indus Valley lived in houses made of clay bricks. They were one or two stories high. They had flat roofs. This was a great place to hang out with friends.

The children had pets like monkeys, birds, lizards and snakes! They had monkeys that if you tie them on a string they would go down it. Fun Time!

The rich wore silk clothes. These were nice clothes. But, they were not as good as the royalty´s clothes.

They lived in houses like the average people. But, these houses are better build. These probably have antique furniture in their houses.

The jobs the rich had were crafting tools and sometimes they did no work at all!

The rich had expensive toys. They had better quality supplies that their toys were made of. They had the same kinds of toys. They had monkeys that would go down cloth lines. These toys did not break easily.

Women: They would also wear gold. They wore silk too. They had fine jewelery. They had long dresses. They wore bright colors and had beautiful designs on their clothing.

The royalty lived in a castle. The royalty had big and lots of rooms. They had many delicate items and they had golden items.

They only had one way to have fun. That way was choose decisions. Rule the land. They did have many other ways to play. They had the best toys in the whole city. These toys were very very expensive. Everyone was jealous of their land, how they ruled the whole land and the their really expensive toys and other stuff.

The people of the Indus Valley ate porridge, beans, chickpeas,beans, wheat, barley, nuts, raisins, bread, dates, grapes, melons, peas, fruits,Gulab Jamun ,Jalebi,Rasgulla ,Rice Pudding ,Sutarfeni, Sandesh, Kaju Ki Burfi and pudding.

Royalty: Silk, cashmere and bright cloth.
Rich: Silk and cashmere
Average: They had wool and cloth.
Poor: They had ragged cloth.
How did flat roofs help the people of the Indus Valley civilization on hot summer days?
They could hang out here. This way they could stay cool on the cool roof. This would make sure you are cool on a hot summer day. Neat!
Why did they have the job crafter?
They had the job crafter beacause everyday they had to make new things. Sometimes, these things broke. This crafter was payed to make different items.
What were their toys made of?
They were many kinds of materials that toys were made of. This usually depends on their wealth. The poor have their toys made of cloth and wood. The average people had toys made of wood and better cloth than the poor. The rich had cloth, wood and iron. While royalty had cloth, wood, silk and metal.
