This activity should take place every shift for some items and between each patient use for all multi-use items.
When is patient-care equipment cleaned?
Wash with soap and water in these situations.
What should you do when your hands are visibly soiled or when exiting a room with a c.diff patient?
Your patient has MRSA in sputum, VRE in blood, ESBL in urine and CRE in a wound so you place him/her on this type of precautions.
