SETTING
I hold a lot of words and have many stories to tell. People can check me out. If you don't take me back home on time, you can get in trouble with the lady who says "shhhhh!"
When people visit me they don't mind that I go after them with sharp objects. In fact, they pay me when I cut them. Sometimes I cut and give them bangs. Sometimes I cut a lot, and sometimes I cut just a little.
Emily sat with her hand up. She looked around and saw all of her buddies working hard. She was excited to answer. She had her work ready and wanted to be called on.

Felix rubbed his belly, and he was sure everyone could hear the rumbling. He had skipped breakfast and now he was regretting it.

You will find me when you go outside. I live high above the earth. Some people say I remind them of cotton candy. When I am angry I get dark, and when I am sad I cry. You have probably felt my tears. When I cry a lot I make puddles and small ponds.

America leaned over on her seat as the lady on the trapeze let go, did a flip in the air, and was caught by another performer. "How do they do that she wondered?". Everyone cheered as the performers waved to the crowd.

Victor looked around the cold room. He could hear beeping coming from the machine next to his bed. He looked down and saw he was wearing a blue and white gown. There were people talking in the hall and they sounded worried.
I love to eat grass with my sharp "teeth". My home is usually in the garage. I work hard in the spring and summer. People push me around outside. I eat gasoline for energy.

Mateo put his sleeping bag in the car. He grabbed a flashlight, a lantern, and his hiking gear. He also grabbed some matches for a fire. Thank goodness he remembered the graham crackers, chocolate bars and marshmallows. The weekend was going to be great.
