Hometown

Porto, Portugal
Forever my favourite city in the world, and one which I always try to convince people at sessions to visit.

100

Occupation

3rd year Student
Gearing up for a gap-year after an intensive degree, where I hope to find more time to travel, discover new hobbies, and of course do more EYP!

100

EYP CV

15 events, 5 years, 5 different roles.
3x Juror, 1x HOJ.
I feel that I have barely gotten started, and want to kick off my gap year with a stimulating and fun session to ring in a new year of more EYP involvement for me.

200

Current city

The Hague, The Netherlands
My home since starting university in 2023, and I wouldn't trade it for anywhere else.

200

Degree

Liberal Arts and Sciences
Culture and History major
(a very confusing degree I have been assured will not leave me unemployed, and which in practice helped me embrace my passion for the Humanities and discover fields like Digital Heritage).

200

Favourite role

Jurying!
At the risk of sounding cliché, Jurying is incredibly rewarding and has a long-lasting effect on delegates. I am always proud to have the chance to impact a new generation of EYPers in this way.

300

Current hobby

Baking new cake recipes and accepting failure when they don't work out. It's surprisingly done wonders for my frustration management, and kept my roomate very happily fed.

300

Dream job

Museum manager / Cultural policymaker
But I currently work for my university as a recruitment officer, and have already convinced one too many EYPers to apply.

300

Last Jury experience

Juror at Maastricht NSC
Developed my feedbacking skills and dedicated more time to personalising recommendations, but also had a renewed interest in Academics.

400

Best traits

Organisation and planning
Calm under pressure
Kind and compassionate

400

Ask me about...

16th century Spanish forgeries slandering William of Orange (and the monks who showed me manuscripts on a mountaintop).

400

Favourite EYP game

"Moose!"
I have a passion for the cringey-est games, and for playing them with 200% energy to make delegates realise there is no point in resisting the awkwardness - they might as well join in and have fun.

500

Worst traits

Terrible morning person
Chronic perfectionist
Always late for public transport

Currently reading

"Legacies of the Portuguese Colonial Empire"
In preparation for my bachelors' thesis, on which I'm making slightly too slow progress... but the most rewarding work I have ever done.

Why Tromsø?

Develop my Jurying skills in a dynamic and dedicated team.
Engage with new NCs, working styles and EYP cultures.
And see the Northern lights in great company!
