Within this area of focus the Chapters will encourage planting among chapter members at their homes as well as communities.

Through this entity the focus is on savings and investments , similar to squads members will meet to engage in small group discussion through intimate activities and workshops.
Sister Circles
During elections this area of focus will assist in ensuring voters know who to vote for, what that vote would yield, where to vote and assist them in getting there?

Leadership Development
On a monthly basis members will meet with a particular co-ed group from various schools to discuss pertinent topics geared toward situational responses and challenges that are concerning to them.
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)
A local program that may fall under this area that assists a local community kitchen in feeding the homeless on every third Friday of the month.
St. Vincent De Paul
Under this area of focus, primarily in the month of June we highlight the theme of PINK Fridays. Our theme and purpose reads : Wear PINK, Spend GREEN and Buy BLACK.
Black Dollar Days
Each year, under this initiative Alpha Kappa Alpha has a traditional event where members join together on a certain day within each region to hear polices, ask questions and have their voices heard?

Reactivation typically can fall under this area of focus as well as joint service projects.

The SOAR administration created this area of focus to help combat the need of childhood hunger within school age children. In this area of focus, Power Packs are delivered weekly to qualifying students and families at the approved Schools.

This area of focus highlights and promotes the success of businesses of any type created and maintained by women.
