A secret word or phrase that you use to protect your online accounts.
You're on your mom's computer and you want to play a game, but it requires you to download a program first. Should you go ahead and download it, or should you ask your mom first?
Ask your mom first. Not only is it her personal computer, but the program could also have a virus on it.
What are two types of information that you should never give to anyone online?
Name, address, phone number, location, age
You receive a message online from someone you don't know asking for your address. The person says they work with your parent and wants to send your parent a birthday card. Why is this a risky situation?
A person you don't know is asking for private information.
What is it called when someone tries to trick you into giving them your personal information?
A scam.
You and your parents have established rules as to what you can and can't do on the internet when you're at home. This includes not being allowed to go on certain websites and watch certain videos on YouTube. However, you're at a friend's house right now. Should you follow your parent's rules, or should you do what your friend is doing?
Always follow the rules your parents have when it comes to your activity on the internet. They know what's best to keep you safe.
