What should I do when I come in each day?
Attendance magnet.
Take out supplies.

What is my grade based on?
40% Assessments
50% Graded Classwork/Participation
10% Homework (completion only)
What do I need to bring to class each day?
Pencils, Math workbooks, Chromebook, Positive attitude!
What should I do when I need to use the restroom?
Hold up your first 2 fingers crossed.
Sign out in binder.
Bring your agenda with you!
How much homework are we going to get?
Math homework - every day!
Science homework - long-term unit study guides to be completed as we go through the unit.
What are the expectations for my work?
All math done in pencil. Name on all your papers. Complete sentences that make sense. Show your best every time.
Where do we go in case of a fire drill?
Go down the stairs to the nearest exit.
Stay with the class as much as you can.
Form a line/Look for me!
What sort of graded classwork will we be getting?
Most graded classwork assignments will be completed with a partner or in a group, with occasional independent assignments.
What are the expectations for my behavior?
Use kind, school-appropriate language at all times. Stop what you're doing when an adult wants your attention. Work with your classmates! Seriously, be mice to each other - no drama!
Where do we go in case of a lockdown?
Sit between the smartboard and the long prep table in the front of the room. Try not to move or make any sound.
How does Math Prime compare to Math 6?
Math Prime covers the same topics as Math 6 but with additional Pre-Algebra topics mixed in. My expectations for Math Prime are higher in terms of quality of work and explanations.
What's the difference between tattling and responsible reporting?
Tattling - trying to get someone else in trouble. Responsible reporting - You need help with a social situation or someone is doing something that is hurtful (physical or emotional)

How do I get an A in this class?
Follow directions. Ask questions. Learn from and fix your mistakes. Work with your classmates.
What do I do if I miss class?
Ask a classmate. Check google classroom/website. Ask teacher (do not expect teacher to chase after you!)
