This area of the world has music focused on Polyrhythms, use of call and response, and improvised vocals that the leader of the ensemble sings.

What are Dynamics
This era of music lasted from 1700-1750 or so, and is considered one of the most popular time periods. Simple Melodies, predictable form, and structured styles of music such as the Sonata and Symphony. Big names are Mozart and Haydn
What is the Classical Era
This genre is a style that comes from traditional Folk and African styles of music. Using the same set of chords for 12 measures, this style is based on improvisation, music played on the off beat, and raspy soulful voices.

This India has two distinct regions- each with their own instruments and forms of the same musical structures of Raga and Tala. They are North and South.

This Era of Music lasted for thousands of years, considered to begin around 800-900 A.D., and ending in the 1400s. It is mainly a religious time period, with most of the music saved being Chant based on scripture. Single vocal lines, use of a drone, and few forms of instrumental music based on pastoral themes.
What is the Medieval Period?
This modern Genre is all about intense volume, fast pasted rhythms, electric guitar, and flashy costumes and lights. Created waves from the 50s all the way to today, and has had many forms.
What is Rock and Roll
South Andean Music is a fusion of two distinct cultures over the course of many decades- one bringing in Pentatonic flutes and the other culture bringing guitars.

This Element of Music is the Organization of songs- some classical music uses ABA, ABCA, ABC, etc. Modern versions would be verse, chorus, bridge, chorus.
What is Form?
This time period lasted from 1800-1870 or so. It is the time of growing harmonies, intense melody lines, expanding ensembles, and a focus on telling stories that are mysterious, emotional, and grandiose. Also Nationalistic. Big names include Frederic Chopin, Franz List, and Antonin Dvorak.
What is the Romantic Era?
This style is another connection to traditional styles of music that are distinctly Black American- from Ragtime, Blues, and other styles this form is based entirely on a steady swing beat, immense use of improv and syncopation, and can be considered very experimental for it's multiple forms from the 1890's to now.
What is Jazz?
This distinct style in Indonesia uses large metallic gongs that are played in a set of cycles. Used to tell stories from ancient tales long past, and depending on where you go has singers and can be very fast or very slow.

These organizations are large groups that sign artists and musicians and pay money to publicize them, produce their music, and reap many of the profits from sales?

Era of Music that lasted from 1400 to the 1600's. Going from one voice to an average of 4, this era was big on the arts, Humanist philosophy, and advancing technology and music in new ways. Motet and Madrigal were the main forms and dance music was gaining popularity. Big names include Guillaume Du Fay.
What is the Renaissance?
This musical style was influences by other genres before- using bluesy style harmonies, danceable and smooth rhythms, and incredibly vibey sounds using keyboards and guitars.
