Examples of these are governmental bodies, educational institutions (think college, universities), and large companies

Subtle acts or comments that are negative based on race, gender, other identities.
What is a microaggression?
Speaking up on behalf of oneself or others to advance specific goals, often with the intention of addressing injustices, promoting equality, or effecting positive change
What is advocacy?
Our perception of the way things are or should be, even if it's not accurate
What is bias?
A form of racism that involves interactions between individuals, often involving prejudice, discrimination
What is interpersonal racism? (other answers that are okay are personal racism, something to describe the interactions on an individual level)
Movements that originate from within a community, typically driven by ordinary citizens rather than established institutions or organizations
What are grassroots efforts / movements?
A group of related things that work together as a whole.
What is a system?
Form of racism embedded within societal institutions, maintaining disparities in resources, opportunities, and outcomes
What is institutional racism?
Bringing community members together to collectively address issues of concern, often aiming to build power and effect systemic change through grassroots efforts.
What is community organizing?
Practice of taking action, often in a public or collective manner, to bring about social, political, or cultural change
What is activism?
Broader form of racism that considers the effect of many factors, including historical, cultural, and economic systems, that systematically disadvantage certain racial groups
What is structural / systemic racism?
Using social media and cultural platforms to challenge negative stereotypes, promote positive narratives
What is media & cultural representation / activism?
The reason behind learning these terms related to social justice.
