Will I visit your classroom?
Usually Yes! I will visit every class once a week. If something were to happen that causes me to not make it to class, I will work with your teacher to come in another time to make it up. **This year is unique. Guidance class will be done virtually - just like today!

Where did I go to college?

How many children do I have?

How do you get to see a school counselor?
* Ask permission from your teacher to see me. * Write me a note telling me that you want to see me and why. Please include your first and last name and your teacher's name. * Ask your parent to contact me to let me know that you want to talk to me.
How will I expect you to behave when I am in your room?
I will expect you to be safe, respectful, and responsible. Whole body listening.
Does a school counselor only help with problems at school?
No, we help students and their families connect with resources in the community like the food pantry and community therapists.

Computer, puppets/stuffed animals, books, games, fidgets, art materials, etc.
What kind of a pet(s) do I have?
Mrs. Pagel has 3 cats and 1 dog

Put it in my locked wooden mailbox, underneath my door or give to your teacher to give to me.

Do I ever work with other School Counselors?
Yes! I collaborate with all the School Counselors in the District. I also work with school counselors from our surrounding communities. I'm also part of the Wisconsin Association of School Counselors and American School Counseling Association. I also help graduate students who are learning to become school counselors.
Who can name two things that I love doing when I am not at school?
Mrs. Pagel likes to Read, Playing Minecraft with my kids, and playing with Nya the Therapy Dog.
Mrs. Tate likes to Run, Garden, Read, and play with my cats.
Ms. Brovold likes to Read, Boating, Vacations, and playing with my dogs.
Why did I become a School Counselor?
I love working with kids, talking with kids, helping kids, encouraging kids, problem solving with kids, etc..
Will I get to see you right away if I write a note?
That depends. If you are having a real emergency, I will get to you as soon as possible. If you just want to have lunch with me, it might take a while since we have 300 students in our building.

It varies. A whole class like we are doing now. A small group of students, and one student at a time
