False: Emotions, especially when intense, can feel like the “truth.” In other words,when we have a strong emotion, we might see thoughts and beliefs associated with that emotion as the only possible truth. However, emotions are not facts and do not prove our thoughts and beliefs. Garrison gets angry with Andre when he doesn't get on the freeway after telling him that was the quickest route. The brothers get to the movie on time, but Garrison thinks his brother doesn't trust his judgement and still believes his way was faster. 


How could Garrison challenge his cognitive distortion of always being right? 

I understand why he went the way he did. He hasn't felt comfortable on the freeway since his accident. Next time I will try to be more patient and perhaps offer to drive if I am concerned we may be late not taking the freeway.
