Surah Al-Mujādilah is named after a woman who came to the Prophet ﷺ complaining about her husband.
Her name was Khawla bint Tha'labah. Her husband said something that, in old Arab culture, made her forbidden to him but did not actually divorce her. This left her in a difficult situation.
She kept asking the Prophet ﷺ for help and complained to Allah about what happened.
